During this time when it’s vital to keep our physical distance, it’s just as important to maintain connections, education, and ambition.
The Virtual Classroom is face-to-face, peer-to-peer learning – in the digital world.
It lets you keep learning, wherever you are, and connect with others, no matter the distance.
Virtual Classrooms are facilitated by specialist tutors and offer:
- An interactive classroom environment
- Peer-to-peer collaboration
- An engaging platform experience
- Practical learning through hands-on exercises
- Online access anywhere you can get an internet connection.
Courses are structured in a time-friendly format of three to four sessions per day, broken up into 60 to 90 minutes of learning.
Instead of the conventional approach of listening to lectures and notetaking, our Virtual Classroom aims to replicate a real classroom atmosphere.
You’ll be encouraged to actively participate, having access to many of these engaging platform features:
- Tutor presentation
- Live discussion
- Chat function
- Breakout rooms for group exercises
- Student outputs from exercises
- Images and videos
How it works
Before starting your course, you’ll receive joining instructions outlining any technical requirements, plus a unique login link via the Zoom platform.
If you have any technical difficulties throughout the sessions, a Virtual Classroom moderator will be on hand to resolve them. They’ll also support the tutor in setting up group activities.
What to expect
At the start of your course, you’ll receive a tour of the Virtual Classroom platform, so you can make sure all relevant features are accessible.
You’ll get an outline that details how the course will progress, what will be covered, and the activities you’ll participate in.
